The history of the shoemaking business began in 1954 in the Riviera del Brenta area near Venice. Giovanni Mazzarolo took over the management of the company in 1983. Together with his wife Francesca, he later acquired the Truman’s brand. Craftsmanship & Production – Handcrafted Women’s Leather Shoes
Trumans’ handcrafted women’s shoes are made in a traditional Italian shoe workshop. Each leather shoe is crafted through several intricate stages – from the initial design and leather selection to the final finishing touches. Traditional techniques such as “Sacco” construction, also known as Sacchetto construction, are standard practice at Trumans and are also used for ankle boots, trainers and loafers. Sacchetto is a traditional construction method based on the principles of moccasin construction. The result: luxury shoes made in Italy that stand out for their fit, durability and comfort.
